What inspired you to launch your own website?
It was important for me to create a website that would give patients looking for high quality dental care in Los Angeles or Beverly Hills information about the latest procedures.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
I launched in March with a press release.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
The name of site was chosen based on my unique philosophy to dentistry which I call the "Total Smile". My "total smile" technique incorporates the three key aspects of oral care: Beautiful Teeth, Pleasant Looking and Healthy Gums, and Attractive Lips. By focusing on each patient's Total Smile, I am able to achieve a stellar looking smile worthy of a celebrity.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
Most dentists in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles will focus their smile improvement efforts on perfectly-aligned, pearly white teeth. But unlike other Los Angeles dentists, I also take the time to remind my patients about the importance of healthy-looking gums. Gums and jaw bone play a critical role in supporting your teeth and contributing to the overall health of your smile.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
I would like to continue providing excellent dental and gum care, thereby increasing my patients' overall health and confidence when they smile.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Managing a website requires constant care and investment, but can also be very rewarding.I am constantly updating the site with new before and after cases, and often receive emails from international patients seeking to receive my unique Gum Bleaching technique. Since I have not trained any other dentist and am unaware of any other dental health professional who can consistently achieve the same result I have seen many patients from all over the world who fly to Los Angeles for this specialized procedure
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I invest a lot of money and have excellent partners for this website...I would not change anything.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
My outstanding staff and team of affiliated providers have been able manage growth very effectively.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Fortunately, everything has been as expected so far.
What has been your biggest challenge?
The amount of time that it takes to develop and maintain a website is a marathon, not a sprint -- getting the word out can require a lot of patience.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Every method has mixed results, there is nothing outstanding.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
The process has been in line with my expectations.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I launched the site in late February, and plan to keep it up for many years to come.
Your gum discoloration / gum bleaching procedure sounds unique, can you tell us more?
Many of my patients find that discolored gums, or gums with splotchy dark patches, are very unappealing and detract from their smile. Generally, this condition may not be a sign of a dental health problem, but instead is primarily an appearance issue. Both men and women seek treatment, though women are often more self-conscious about their discolored gum appearance. As the pioneer of a procedure to treat dark and discolored gums, and one of the few dental professionals nationwide offering gum bleaching, I have treated celebrities, business leaders, and high-ranking officials.
